1. KADHUWA/ KADWA is a handwoven technique, an intricate labor-intensive method that involves weaving each motif separately. 
2. Two weavers work together while one  weaves the body of the saree, the other uses a wooden spool to embroider or carve out each motif.
3. Allows for many different motifs of various sizes, colors, and textures to be woven onto the same saree. 
4. The designs are created using the extra-weft technique, which involves weaving extra-weft threads independently from the main weft.
5. Creates a more robust pattern that stands out on the fabric. There are no loose threads at the back of the fabric, so no cutting is required.
